Brief Introduction to our Company 
Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (CRC) is a shareholding enterprise registered in March 2002, which is invested by China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation (CNR), capitalizing their excellent assets of original Changchun Car Company (CCC) jointly with stakeholders from other social funds. The total equity and registered capital are both RMB 530 million. The core business of CRC is rolling stock industry including the manufacturing of Mainline Passenger Coaches, High-speed EMU, Urban Mass Transits and Magnetic Levitation Vehicles. The predecessor of CRC, Changchun Car Company, was established in 1954 as one of the 156 key construction projects in the period of ¡°First Five-Year-Plan¡± in China. Over the past decades, CRC has become the largest R&D center, manufacture and export base of rolling stock industry in China. The production plant capacity has a per annum rate of accommodating the design and construction for various rolling stock car types, e.g. 500 cars of Mainline Passenger Coaches, 800 cars of EMU and 800 cars of Urban Mass Transit, etc. Up to now, CRC has delivered more than 28,000 cars in various types of Mainline Passenger Vehicles, which equates to 50% market share of passenger train production and mainline service vehicles in China. For Urban Mass Transit production, CRC has won orders over 2,200 cars, which dominates over 80% market share of Urban Mass Transit vehicles produced in China. Some of the products have been exported to Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, etc. Since the first entry to global market in 1995, CRC has so far exported more than 1,400 cars to its international customers and the total contract value has exceeded USD 1.2 billion. CRC has owned a main production plant locates in Changchun, which covers land area of 1,526 million square meters with construction areas of 420,000 square meters. The company has recruited over 8,000 employees and possessed more than 3,000 sets of advanced and high standard machinery and equipments from the world market. CRC is specialized in many production processes which include the cold and hot machining of metal works in manufacturing the carbody shell, system interface and integration, equipment assembly and installation and overall completion of car fitting out. The production is the market leader of the rolling stock industry in China. For the construction of Mainline Passenger vehicles, CRC has core foundations of building Type-25-Series passenger coaches for MOR China and other international customers, on the other hand, strategically the company continues to develop to construct High-speed EMU (200 km/h or above) as the trend. By combining these two directions, CRC has developed the product line of various classes, speed levels in different propulsion modes to meet the diversified customers¡¯ requirements. For Urban Mass Transit system, CRC has built vehicles of various product lines in different categories of car type A, B, C and materials: e.g. - Carbody shell in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloy; - Vehicles for Monorail and Duorail; - Vehicles of linear motor drives and rotary motor drives. CRC has established a R&D Center of national level and a Postdoctoral Scientific Research Station for continuous development. In addition, the company has founded the first joint-venture enterprise in the field of rolling stock in China ¡ª Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. in 1997. With the same model of technology sharing and transfer as main investment, CRC has also set up an oversea joint-venture enterprise ¡ª Teheran Wagon Manufacturing Company in Iran since 2003. CRC has continuously been one of the top 500 industry enterprises in China since 1988. In the recent years, the company has been awarded with honors such as: - The National May 1st Labor Award; - The Grade 2 National Enterprise; - National Model Enterprise of Quality Effectiveness CRC has been the pilot among the enterprises of locomotive and rolling stock industry in China to passing through the certifications from external quality accreditation bodies, e.g. - ISO9001, ISO1002-1, ISO10012-2003, ISO 14001, OHSMS, - DIN 6700 Certifications by SLV Germany, on aluminum alloy carbody welding, stainless steel carbody welding and bogie frame welding. In July 2006, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and All China Federation of Trade Unions had nominated CRC as one of the 103 Innovative Pilot Enterprises in China. CRC ® has also been awarded with ¡°China Top Brand¡± in the following year of 2007 and certified as a Hi-tech Enterprise by the governments of Jilin Province and Changchun City.
